In October 2020, we mentioned to a few friends that we wanted to drive through the mountains to take in the fall colors. Everyone was wishing for an escape from the pandemic lockdowns and limitations. One friend told us how much she adored the changing leaves, but she was unable to leave home because of medical issues. So we decided to shoot a video of our drive so she could experience as much as possible.
This drive to New Canyon Campground starts in Manzano, NM.
This winding road from New Canyon to Capilla Peak is amazing, but quite dangerous. We'll record a video of that part of the drive in the near future.
